Welcoming Refugees to Greenbelt
Founded in 2022 in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the Greenbelt Refugee Aid Committee (GRACE) helps refugees seeking asylum from war or its aftermath. We do this by sponsoring refugees, supporting them temporarily, and helping them integrate into the Greenbelt community by learning English, accessing public benefits, enrolling in school, and/or finding employment. Donate and/or Volunteer
GRACE is helping refugees to settle in Greenbelt by temporarily providing them with food, shelter, and basic household items. We provide funds and services to refugees as needed for their entry, adjustment, and development as either temporary or permanent residents of the United States. This may include housing, transportation, food, clothing, medical care, home furnishings, ESL education, legal assistance, and trauma relief. If you can volunteer to help or donate household items or furniture, please so indicate in the Comments field below or by clicking "Volunteer" above. Use the "Donate Now" form at the bottom of the screen or the "Donate" tab above to make a contribution. All contributions are tax deductible and you will be sent a receipt. If you do not have PayPal, you can click through for a way to donate using your credit card.
